The drone flute `Two Hawks` in the key of "A minor" is handcrafted in the mountains of southern Arizona from native Spanish cedar wood. Spanish cedar is a softwood that gives woodwind instruments a musical voice that is melodic, resonant and warm in tone. It also features decorative cabochons made of black onyx stone.
With these double flutes, you play the melody on one side and the drone in the flute's fundamental on the other, and it sounds magical, as if two people are playing at the same time!
The double flutes are played in the same way as the single flutes, they just require more breath / air pressure. And the following applies to all flutes: the larger the diameter of the flute, the more breath it needs.
The Two Hawks 'A' Spanish Cedar Flute features black leather straps that attach the flute's ebonized walnut fetish to the body of the fluke
