The Big Textbook for Kalimba is a detailed textbook for the single-row Kalimba with 17 notes in C major, the oldest and best-selling type of Kalimba worldwide. It is suitable for beginners as well as more advanced players.

The richly illustrated introduction, supplemented by videos, explains everything you need to know about handling, tuning and plucking technique on the kalimba. The musical part begins with practical exercises focusing on orientation, melody and chord playing.

70 pieces specially arranged for the kalimba in 5 levels of difficulty form the main part of the book. All pieces are notated in melody form. In addition, there are accompanying arrangements for around 50 pieces, which enable the player to play the piece together with others or to accompany himself by singing. The instrumental versions, in which melody and accompaniment are played together, are a challenge for experienced kalimba players.

The repertoire describes a colorful mix of styles from the world of music: in addition to traditional pop, folk and country music themes, there are Christmas and children's songs, chorales and classical themes.
