The Old World Lyre is a modern production of one of the oldest instruments. The design of this instrument is mainly based on the work of the Spanish luthier Juan Ramirez Vega. Juan carried out extensive research on the Iberian lyre from 900 BC. The version built by Juan is on display at the University of Madrid and the Zaragoza Museum.
