Duduk - Tenor A

Most sheet music for the duduk is written for the tenor A pitch. This pitch is therefore the most common and is suitable for both beginners and experienced stage musicians, not least because of its balanced size.

The ghamish (double-reed mouthpiece) is a work of art in itself and is made by another master craftsman. Compared to other double-reed instruments, the reed of the duduk mouthpiece is longer and wider. The "Armenian flute" owes its soft sound to this special constructional feature. Note: The "F" on the ghamish is the manufacturer's signature and not the tuning/pitch of the ghamish.
