The Earth Tone Spirit Flute in the key of high 'C' minor (432 Hz) is handcrafted in southern Arizona from native, sustainable Spanish cedar, a softwood that gives the flute a warm, rich musical voice with clarity in the high notes. The Spirit flutes feature a unique fixed sound plate design that is durable as it cannot be accidentally displaced. With a length of 30.5 cm (12.0 inches), it is a small flute, making it ideal for traveling, people with small hands and limited hand mobility. This is a six-hole flute. We automatically include a leather hole cover with this flute, which can be used for the third hole from the top of the flute, as shown in the product pictures. Covering the third hole from the top makes it easier to learn to play the flute. The leather hole cover can be easily loosened and removed, giving the flute player the option of playing the instrument either as a five-hole flute or as a six-hole flute.
